Thinking Therapy

Thinking Therapy is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. This is an interactive and expressive therapy where young people are able to talk openly about anything and everything.

Young people are introduced to a new thought process and then work on challenging their unhealthy beliefs by exercises, diary writing and expressive talking. We promote unconditional self-acceptance by accepting personal mistakes and moving on without self-hatred. We do not focus on the past or bringing up previous injustices, but look to the future and how to overcome emotional issues in order to reach their goals in life.

The evidence suggests that by changing people’s thought patterns this will help them cope with any emotional problems they are experiencing in the present. We aim to help them to learn coping mechanisms for the future.
